- ★ ★ ★ ☆ ☆Good boat launch on the South Columbia River, but no dock. Quiet Campground and a decent day use park. Hot in the summer but cools down when the sun drops over the mountain. Showers and walking trails along the river. Not a lot of boat trailer parking. Fast river current. Not a swimming area. Children must be supervised. Many endangered species in the park including Rubber Boa Snakes. Lots of birds and wildlife including Bear, cougar, and Bobcat.By Kootenay Bandit, April 03, 2017
